Amsoil adds 0W-50 viscosity to Amsoil Synthetic ATV/UTV motor oil family

Amsoil has added a new lubricant viscosity to the Amsoil Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil product line: Amsoil 0W-50 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil, formulated to offer riders a high-performance upgrade from OEM-branded oils. It joins the company’s existing 10W-40, 5W-50, 10W-30 and 5W-40 viscosities.

Amsoil 0W-50 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil is purpose-built to stay in grade for chores like hauling or plowing, or when conquering tough terrain, the company reports. It provides superior cold-flow ability for quick starts in extreme temperatures and severe-service conditions. It also delivers consistent clutch feel and protects against sludge and varnish.

“We specifically engineered Amsoil 0W-50 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil to address the unique demands of ATVs and UTVs,” says Len Groom, Amsoil sr. market manager – powersports. “These vehicles are regularly expected to perform demanding chores and tackle tough terrain in all types of weather, which challenges the oil’s ability to adequately protect your engine. Amsoil 0W-50 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil is designed to flow freely in subzero temperatures, ensuring easy cold-starts, when your engine is most at risk. It also protects against the damaging effects of extreme heat caused by heavy-duty and high-performance operation. We are excited to extend upgraded protection to a much wider range of makes and models with this new addition to the product line.”

The 0W-50 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil is recommended for use in applications that require a 0W-50 oil, including those made by Polaris and four-stroke Prostar S4 snowmobiles. Amsoil notes that the new motor oil will not void ATV or UTV warranties.
