Polaris adds new UTV under $10K
Polaris introduced the 2026 Ranger 500 side-by-side vehicle, a mid-size utility vehicle priced under $10,000. This will be the company’s lowest-priced UTV, coming in below the current Ranger SP 570 side-by-side that retails for $11,499. The Polaris lineup for side-by-side vehicles and UTVs includes several vehicles over $25,000, including the Ranger XD 1500 that retails for $40,000. Those vehicles might get more expensive as the manufacturer deals with rising input costs dues to tariffs.

Polaris said it designed the new model, starting at a U.S. MSRP of $9,999, as a compact, easy-to-use and practical machine focused on value and versatility. It is also promoting an array of accessory options to help owners customize the vehicle for their work or play needs, and to give Polaris dealers increased sales opportunities.
“With the continued shift from city living to rural residences, more and more people are finding themselves with ample space, yard projects, and time spent outdoors,” said Reid Wilson, president of Off-Road Vehicles, Polaris. “While the Ranger brand has been the No. 1 selling utility side-by-side brand for 27 years, we see an opportunity to expand our lineup with a vehicle that offers the right features at the right price, helping to make the work a little easier and creating the opportunity for a little more fun while doing it. The new Ranger 500 is an approachable and dependable solution that is backed by Polaris’ legacy of off-road excellence.”
