Titan International expands portfolio with rubber tracks for compact equipment
Titan International has announced the launch of Titan Rubber Tracks, marking the company’s entry into the rubber track market for compact equipment.
The new product line was developed for compact track loaders and mini excavators, expanding the company’s offerings beyond wheels and tires.
“Our customers have been asking for Titan to enter this space, but we needed to make sure our tracks are as tough as our tires,” said Travis Little, general manager of agriculture, construction and industrial. “We’ve combined our rubber and engineering expertise to develop a rubber track option that meets our standards and works for our customers.”
Titan said tracked compact equipment continues to see growing use in construction, rental equipment and related applications where traction, stability and uptime are priorities. The company said its rubber tracks were engineered for those operating conditions.
According to the company, development of the tracks included work from its rubber compounding and engineering teams.
“We could have entered the rubber track market sooner, but we wanted to take the time to launch a product worthy of the Titan name,” Little said. “By working with our rubber compounding and engineering teams, we focused on providing a track designed for long-term performance, and we’re confident this is the product our customers have been looking for.”
Titan said the tracks use a premium rubber compound designed specifically for the application. The company said internal testing and field evaluations focused on durability and consistency across a range of operating conditions.
Field trials were conducted across multiple regions and machine platforms, according to the company.
“Across all field tests, we have no reports of carcass delamination, guide separation, or structural failure, even beyond the above-average expected hours in multiple cases,” said Chris Smith, product engineer for agriculture, construction and industrial. “Testing was also conducted at blue-chip OEM manufacturers where Titan Rubber Tracks exceeded testing requirements on internal durability and high-stress conditions testing.”
The initial launch includes nearly 60 SKUs across five tread patterns, covering more than 950 models and 1,500 fitments, according to Titan. Inventory will be distributed through the company’s Des Moines facility.
