OPEAA announces 2012-13 officers and directors
The Outdoor Power Equipment Aftermarket Association (OPEAA) announced its 2012-13 officers and board of directors during its annual meeting Feb. 18-21 at the Biltmore in Phoenix, Ariz.
The officers include President Dale Marcell, Oregon Cutting Systems; Vice President Jim Paugh, NGK Spark Plugs; Secretary/Treasurer Eric Gunderson, Jarden Applied Materials; and Immediate Past President Mike Watts, Better Heads LLC.
Continuing their service on the board are Jeff Andrews, Desert Extrusion Corporation; Arnaud Legrand, Speed North America; Walter Rieck, Sierra/Prime Line Power Equipment Products; Chris Roessler, Rotary Corporation; and Barry Stiles, Stens Corporation.
OPEAA had a very successful annual meeting. It not only provided several social networking opportunities and fun outings, but also was very productive. The business sessions featured speakers who presented timely and relevant information for the industry, including weather intelligence; legislative, regulatory and safety issues; results of a recent study of the parts and accessories market; and an update on social media trends and the battery-operated equipment market. The meeting kicked off with a cocktail reception and silent auction to benefit the Bill Nelson Scholarship Fund.
