New Holland Construction introduces electric machines, expands D-Series mini excavator lineup
New Holland Construction introduced new electric equipment and expanded its diesel mini excavator lineup, adding several models aimed at contractors working in regulated, noise-sensitive or space-constrained jobsites.
The company unveiled the E25X Electric Mini Excavator and C314X Electric Mini Track Loader while also expanding its in-house D-Series mini excavator lineup with five new diesel models: the E12D, E19D, E30D, E38D and E60D.
Together, the announcements expand New Holland Construction’s compact equipment portfolio with both electric and diesel machines designed for a range of contractor needs, from landscaping and residential construction to heavy-duty jobsite work.
Electric models target zero-emissions jobsites
Electric equipment is transforming when and where work is completed. New Holland Construction is expanding its electric equipment portfolio to meet customer needs and ever-changing jobsite demands with the launch of the E25X Electric Mini Excavator and the C314X Electric Mini Track Loader, offering contractors two new options for jobsites requiring zero on-site emissions, minimal noise and reduced overall maintenance.
“At the end of the day, contractors need machines that help them get more done, and electric equipment gives them that greater flexibility,” says Jake Sickels, product marketing manager for New Holland Construction North America. “We designed the E25X and C314X, so customers don’t have to rethink their workflow. These solutions eliminate obstacles related to emissions and noise that contractors often face, enabling them to take on a broader range of projects.”
In spaces with environmental restrictions, like retail construction, plumbing and interior construction and even demolition, the machines can allow work to occur during normal business hours without the ventilation concerns associated with diesel-powered equipment.
Electric machines also significantly reduce noise pollution, making them suitable for work near schools, municipalities, livestock facilities and residential neighborhoods.
E25X Electric Mini Excavator
The E25X is a 2.5-ton electric mini excavator powered by a 102-volt lithium-ion battery with a 32.2 kWh gross capacity. With an onboard 240-volt 1-phase charging system, the machine can recharge from 0-100 percent in approximately nine hours, while a 20-80 percent charge takes about five hours. Runtime ranges from four to eight hours depending on application and hydraulic demand.
The excavator weighs about 5,200 pounds in a standard ROPS configuration and provides an 8-foot digging depth for tasks such as foundation work, utility installation, outdoor plumbing and demolition.
The machine includes electro-hydraulic controls with Eco, Standard and Power modes, adjustable responsiveness for confined spaces and a two-way blade with float for improved grading capability. It is available with either a ROPS configuration or an enclosed cab with heat.
The excavator is compatible with a full range of attachments including hydraulic hammers, augers, breakers, mechanical thumbs and bucket options.
C314X Electric Mini Track Loader
The C314X builds on the company’s mini track loader platform and is available in narrow or wide-track configurations with standard rubber tracks or optional non-marking tracks for sensitive environments.
Powered by a 102-volt lithium-ion battery system with a 23.5 kWh gross capacity, the loader charges in about eight hours and includes Eco, Standard and Power motor speed settings to balance efficiency and performance.
Enhanced LED lighting, including boom-mounted lights, improves visibility in low-light or indoor conditions. Standard auxiliary hydraulics at 14 gpm support both single-flow and bidirectional attachments such as hydraulic hammers, landscaping rakes and tillers.
The loader also features a 14-pin electrical connection for advanced attachments, radial lift arm geometry and bucket options in 36- and 42-inch widths depending on machine configuration.
According to the company, the machine is gaining traction in landscaping and arborist applications as well as greenhouse operations, where zero on-site emissions and low noise are especially important.
Both electric machines come standard with a seven-year telematics subscription through myNewHollandConstruction, allowing contractors and fleet managers to monitor machine utilization, productivity and cost metrics.
“What excites us most is the ability to reach customers we haven’t traditionally served, especially those operating in highly regulated environments. Now, we can bring them into the New Holland Construction family with machines, technology and a dealer network that meets their unique operation goals without sacrificing capability or performance,” Sickels says.
Ordering for the C314X Electric Mini Track Loader opened March 2, 2026, with machines expected to reach customers in the third quarter of 2026. Ordering for the E25X Electric Mini Excavator will open in the second quarter of 2026 with deliveries expected in the fourth quarter.
D-Series lineup expands with five diesel models
Alongside the electric equipment launch, New Holland Construction expanded its D-Series mini excavator lineup with five new diesel models designed in-house: the E12D, E19D, E30D, E38D and E60D.
These join the previously released E42D and E50D models introduced in 2025. With the addition of two electric machines, the lineup now totals nine models.
“With the expansion of the D-Series Mini Excavators, we’re delivering a truly complete lineup that’s built to serve every type of customer, from rental fleets and landscapers to utility and heavy-use operators,” says Dan Kakareka, product marketing manager for New Holland Construction North America. “What makes this lineup stand out is not just the range of sizes, but the consistency in features, comfort and capability across every model.”
Three machine classes
The expanded lineup spans three machine classes.
The compact class includes the E12D and E19D, designed for residential construction, landscaping, rental fleets and light utility work. Retractable tracks and a small footprint allow the machines to navigate tight spaces such as narrow gates and yards. The E19D also offers the option of a heated cab and greater hydraulic capability for more demanding attachments.
The mid-size class includes the E30D and E38D. The 3.5-metric-ton E38D is designed to balance power, transportability and versatility for tasks ranging from utility installation and urban construction to roadside work and light demolition. These machines can be transported without requiring a CDL and are designed to operate quietly in populated areas.
Beginning with the E38D, operators also have access to an optional six-way blade for enhanced grading precision.
The largest model, the E60D, is designed for heavier-duty applications and features increased hydraulic performance, premium cab features and the ability to run high-demand attachments such as mulchers. Available features include heat and air conditioning, an air-suspension seat and expanded lighting and visibility.
Standard features and attachment compatibility
Across the lineup, machines come standard with first and second auxiliary hydraulics, pattern changers, rear-view cameras, LED work lights and zero tail swing designs to improve safety and maneuverability in tight spaces. Cab options are available on all models except the E12D.
The machines are compatible with CNH-branded buckets, thumbs and couplers along with industry-standard attachments including hammers, compaction plates, grapples, augers, mowers and mulchers. Select models also offer a dedicated mulcher hydraulic line.
Operator comfort and serviceability were emphasized in the design. Automotive-style cabs feature adjustable controls and the ability to save attachment flow and pressure settings, while tiltable cabs or canopies provide easier access to hydraulic components for maintenance.
D-Series Mini Excavators also include a seven-year telematics subscription through myNewHollandConstruction to monitor machine performance, location and health.
“We’re proud to bring a complete mini excavator offering to our current customers and to introduce a new generation of operators to New Holland Construction through these machines. Whether it’s a first-time buyer, a growing rental fleet or a seasoned contractor, these machines are built to perform in a way that keeps customers coming back and getting hooked on the D-Series,” Kakareka says.
