OPPAA awards $7,000 in scholarships to three students
The Outdoor Power Parts and Accessories Association Scholarship Fund awarded $7,000 in scholarships to three students for 2026.
The recipients are Erica Wasson of Glennville, Georgia, Matthew Wickstrom of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Matt Noren of Big Lake, Minnesota. The students are affiliated with OPPAA member companies Ascentek, Rotary Corporation and The Toro Company.
The scholarship fund provides financial assistance to employees of OPPAA member companies and their children who are pursuing higher education. Established more than 25 years ago, the program has awarded more than 80 scholarships totaling $177,000.
The scholarship fund is governed by trustees Sue Chaney of K-C Sales, Scott Rutledge of Medart Engine, Darold Dunham of Power Distributors, Ed Nelson of Rotary Corporation and Jim Depolo of VP Racing Fuels. Staff support is provided by Brandon Martin and Suzanne Shomers of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute.
The OPPAA Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported by donations.
